San Andreas, CA -- A Jamestown teenager is recovering from a rollover accident yesterday.
The California Highway Patrol says 18 year old Shalaina Peakes was driving an older model Honda northbound on Highway 49 traveling between 45-55 MPH when she failed to negotiate a sweeping left curve. Reports indicate Peakes drove off the east roadway edge, hit an embankment and overturned. Officers believe she escaped serious injuries due to the use of her seatbelt.
Peakes was transported to Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital for minor cuts and complaints of pain.
