Sonora, CA -- The Tuolumne County Transportation Council is moving forward with a new marketing campaign as well as adding stops to the current routes.
The annual "Unmet Transit Needs" hearing allowed several residents to voice their thoughts on the current transit system. Transportation Program Coordinator Diane Bynum says a common complaint at the meeting was a lack of marketing.
Bynum believes however, that is good news because the council has recently hired a marketing consultant to get the word out about the services they offer.
She says there were also requests for service on Sunday so people would have transportation to church.
Bynum says the meeting was a great way to educate the public on what to expect for the future and also get an idea of the needs of the community.
