Sonora, CA -- The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory in effect until 1:00pm.
Southeast winds of 20 to 35 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph will continue over much of interior Northern California, including Sacramento and Northern San Joaquin Valleys. The wind will also be strong in the foothills and Northern Sierra. The strongest winds are expected during the morning hours with winds dropping below advisory criteria in most areas by early afternoon.
Breezy conditions will continue throughout the day. Motorists should use extra caution while driving in windy conditions.
