Sonora, CA -- The arraignment for the man suspected of stabbing a transient to death in Tuolumne is scheduled for tomorrow.
The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department is still investigating the stabbing, which happened Friday evening. Sheriff's deputies say 52-year-old Robert Rudolph Veillette and 38-year-old Isaac Leal were taken into custody and booked into the Tuolumne County Jail.
A report indicates that 911 dispatchers received a report at about 9:30 Friday night that a man had been stabbed in the stomach at Veillette's apartment.
Authorities arrived to find 43-year old Ronald Hicks dead on the scene. Lead investigator Keith Lunney says several witnesses have been interviewed and more are being sought.
