Fisherman Still Missing After Trip To New Melones

New Melones Resevoir, CA -- The search continues for a Valley Springs man who went missing after a fishing trip Saturday at New Melones Reservoir.

Both Calaveras and Tuolumne County officials are looking for 59-year-old Doug Ramsey, whose fishing boat was found early Sunday morning beached on the reservoirs south end.

When Ramsey did not make it home, his wife Marsha called their friend James Blankenship to look for him. Blankenship found Ramsey's white Dodge pickup truck and trailer still parked at the Tuttletown boat launch.

Friends and family members say sheriff's deputies have been out in boats for the past two days looking for Ramsey and his dog Sparky.
