Sonora, CA -- CDF officials are warning residents of the importance of caution while burning after a debris burn escaped and spread to ten acres Sunday.
Crews were called to a property on Jacksonville Road in Jamestown just before 3:00 in the afternoon to put down the blaze. Damage to the grassland is valued at two-thousand dollars. Spokesman Craig Hart says fire danger remains high until more rain falls in the area.
Residents are reminded to follow all burning regulations, keep a water source handy and attend to the fire until it is cold out.
