Sonora, CA -- State transportation officials have closed all of the mountain passes through the Sierra Nevada after a significant snowfall over night.
Caltrans says Highway 108 is closed at Strawberry and Highway 4 is closed at the Mount Reba Turnoff. Highway 120 over Tioga pass remains closed for the second straight day. Glacier Point Road in Yosemite National Park also remains closed.
The closures come as forecasters continue to predict significant snowfall amounts in the upper elevations.
Officials say the decision to keep the passes closed for the season will be made at a later time.
