Fatal Accident Closes Highway 4

Murphys, CA -- CHP is reporting a fatal accident on Highway 4 east of Murphys.

Emergency crews have closed Highway 4 and are routing traffic onto Power House Road.

CHP says the accident involves two cars and a big rig. Tow trucks are on the way to the scene to clear the vehicles.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible. The Vallecito School district is advising parents that all afternoon school busses will be on delay due to the accident
