Celebration Service Set For Mayhew

Sonora, CA -- Sonora High School staff along with friends and family of Darla Mayhew will be holding a celebration of life service this weekend.

The Sonora physical education teacher and volleyball coach passed away early Tuesday morning from complications of a bone marrow transplant she underwent last week at Stanford University Medical Center.

She had been hospitalized there since March after being diagnosed with leukemia.

The service is scheduled for 2:00 Sunday afternoon at the campus's Bud Castle Gymnasium.
