Calaveras County Sheriffs Eradicate Marijuana Growing Operation

San Andreas, CA -- Calaveras County Sheriff's deputies are looking into a marijuana grow operation discovered on ranch land near Valley Springs last week.

A Sheriff's Department report says the operation was located last Thursday growing near Hunt Road and Old Hogan Dam Road in the Milton area.

Investigators say the operation consisted of about 3500 plants ranging in size from four to ten feet with a street value estimated at more than $750,000.

The plants and additional evidence were seized from the property.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
