San Andreas, CA -- Two men are in custody after Calaveras County Sheriff's deputies discovered them in a stolen vehicle.
Authorities say 47-year-old Jeffrey Gillam of Virginia and 30-year-old Tjay Philips of Rail Road Flat were discovered sleeping in a pick-up truck that had been backed into Hogan Lake at Wrinkle Cove in Valley Springs. A report says Philips was arrested on several outstanding warrants out of Calaveras County and Santa Cruz.
A check on the truck revealed that it had been reported stolen from Virginia. Deputies say Gillam was then placed under arrest for possession of a stolen vehicle and an outstanding warrant.
Both men were booked into the Calaveras County Jail without bail.
