"Sheets For Shelters" Charity Drive Starts Thursday

Sonora, CA -- Starting September 1st the “Sheets for Shelters” charity drive will be in full effect.

Gold Country Bed and Breakfast Inns of Tuolumne County are asking people to give them clean used sheets, towels and small useable kitchen items during the entire month of September.

Organizers say the donated items are distributed to county agencies that house battered women and help people displaced by fire or job loss.

The agencies are asking the general public to drop off clean linens, dishes, and any other small appliances at several locations in Columbia, Jamestown, Sonora, and Twain Harte.
