Sonora, CA -- One teenager is dead and her sister is injured after a head on collision that closed Tuolumne Road yesterday for several hours.
The CHP says 19-year-old Sue Clink and her sister 18-year-old Jerri Clink were driving eastbound on Tuolumne Road as they entered into a slight right hand curve. Reports indicate that the driver, Sue Clink allowed the car to drift 3 feet across the solid yellow lines into the path of a logging truck driven by 41-year-old Robert Langley.
According to the CHP Langley locked up his brakes and steered to the right in an attempt to avoid the accident when Clink's car hit the truck in two places and came to rest on the right shoulder.
Sue Clink was pronounced dead at the scene and Jerri Clink was taken to Memorial Hospital in Modesto for a broken arm.
