Columbia College Offers Free Infant Care

Friday, July 29, 2005 - 11:40 AM

Sonora, CA -- Columbia College is now offering free infant care to low-income families through a new program.

The service is being offered through the college in conjunction with the Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools Cal-SAFE program.

Families must qualify by being enrolled in the College's high school education curriculum of Cal-SAFE, or be eligible for the state-funded subsidized child care program.

Children up to 18 months of age will be cared for at the Shaws Flat School on Shaws Flat Road in Sonora.

The program will begin August 15th and last through the end of May.
