Sacramento, CA -- The heat continues to bake most of California with temperatures reaching triple digits in the mother lode on a consistent basis.
The Central Valley is also experiencing a heat wave, where hundreds of thousands of farm workers continue to work in the fields, which make the region of the highest-grossing farm areas in the country. Many farmers are scheduling the work to start earlier in the day. Some are also training workers to recognize signs of heat illness, and encouraging them to take breaks when necessary.
