Calaveras Sheriff's Deputies To Hold Fundraiser

San Andreas, CA -- The Calaveras County Sheriff's Department is planning a benefit dinner for a local infant born with Down Syndrome and heart problems.

Kylee Rose Smith is the 3-month-old daughter of Deputy Blain Smith. Doctors say she will require heart surgery within the next month.

A tri-tip benefit dinner is scheduled for Saturday July 9th at 6:00 PM. The cost for the dinner will be $15. The evening will also include an auction and a drawing, as well as a walkathon.

Deputies are also seeking monetary donations.

Anyone wishing to help is asked to call the Calaveras County Sheriff's Department.
