Authorities Suspend Search For Man In Mokelumne River

Clements, CA -- The search for a man presumed drowned in the Mokelumne River over the weekend has been suspended.

Police say the man was part of a group of campers whose rafts capsized in rough waters near the Camanche Dam at about 3:30 in the afternoon yesterday.

Reports say three of the campers were rescued from the icy waters but the Los Angeles man who was visiting friends in Lodi could not be found.

The search was suspended at about 7:00 last night.
