University Of California Hikes Fees For Professional Students

San Francisco, CA -- Student fees are likely to increase again throughout the University of California system.

This time the increase affects professional school students who will be paying up to seven percent more for their degrees.

A committee of U-C's governing Board of Regents recommended Thursday raising the fees for 2005-2006, saying the added funds are needed to offset state budget cuts.

The action goes before the full board for ratification later today.
