Sonora, CA -- The Tuolumne and Calaveras Unit of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection will require burning permits starting Sunday.
Residents are advised to finish their burning as early as possible because the permits could be suspended at any time during the summer months because of dangerous fire conditions. Burning hours will be open throughout the day until the weather gets hotter.
CDF permit information in available by calling your local station in Tuolumne or Calaveras County.
