A 27 year old Manteca man just learning how to ride a motorcycle got a hard lesson over the weekend.
The CHP reports that Wilson Gonzalez was following a friend on his motorcycle on Highway 4 west of Pool Station Road. Gonzalez was practicing handling curves when he lost control of the 2004 Honda on a sharp curve. The motorcycle left the road and ran into a ditch, coming to a halt on its left side. Gonzalez broke his left ankle in the process. Gonzalez's friend said that he warned him not to use his front brakes on a curve. Gonzalez was treated at Mark Twain Hospital and released.
