School Bus Involved In Accident

A Rail Road Flat school bus was involved in an accident on Highway 26 just before 1 o'clock Friday afternoon.

The CHP reports that the accident occurred in wet and snowy conditions. Officer M.J. Fiscus says a motorist was travelling eastbound on the highway driving a T-Bird while the bus was travelling westbound. Snow was falling steadily and up to two inches of fresh powder had accumulated on the roadway. The bus crossed over the road's double yellow lines as both vehicles approach a curve. The two vehicles collided and the T-Bird left the roadway. The school bus did not have any students on board at the time of the accident. Neither driver was injured.
