Californians Move To Oregon In LotsSunday, January 30, 2005 - 09:55 AM
Californians migrated north to Oregon by the thousands last year.
Oregon's motor vehicle department says more than a third of the 64,000 out-of-state driver's licenses exchanged for Oregon licenses last year were from California. In all, 23,484 California licenses were surrendered by residents of Oregon's neighbor to the south. Washington state accounted for a distant second, with just over nine thousand driver's licenses exchanged, or about 14% of the total.
