A Valley Springs man and two Stockton senior citizens are recovering after their cars collided on State Route 12 near Highway 26 in Calaveras county this morning.
The accident had traffic backed up in the area for about 90 minutes. CHP Officer Bryan Duquesnel says Mark Norried was travelling across Highway 12 in a Saturn sedan and didn't notice a Mercedes being driven eastbound on the roadway by Paul Caporusso. The Mercedes broadsided the Saturn, temporarily blocking the roadway. Both drivers and a passenger riding in the Mercedes suffered minor injuries. All three were treated at Mark Twain hospital and released.
