Fire Burns Near Buck Meadows

Firefighters are battling a fire on the Stanislaus National Forest this afternoon. The fire is off Highway 120 in the area of Cherry Lake Road and forest road N107. The fire was first reported around 2 p.m. this afternoon.

The CHP says Highway 120 is subject to closure at the Rim of the World area near at Buck Meadows. Watch for traffic control in the area.

Early reports area saying two firefighters have been burned and one firefighter is missing batting this blaze.

Last estimates was the fire had burned 150 acres and was moving south towards the highway.
