Crash Kills Three In Calaveras County

Three people were killed in an early Sunday morning traffic collision on Highway 12 in Calaveras County.

The highway patrol reports Marc Ramirez of the Bay Area lost control of his Subaru just before 1 a.m. at Evans Road in Burson. The car began to slide sideways directly into the path of an Infinity driven by Lorraine Castellano and husband Ismael both 68 year-old of San Andreas.

CHP officers say the impact killed all three people.

Highway 12 was closed for about 2 1/2 hours while the accident was investigated and victims removed from the wreckage.

Authorities are asking for witnesses to this crash to contact the CHP San Andreas office.
