Fire Burning In Jamestown

Firefighters are battling a wildfire burning in Jamestown at this hour.

The fire is burning in the area of 7th Avenue near Golden Oaks Drive. A large plume of smoke can be seen in the area.

Their extimating about 5 acres burnt so far. The fire was first called out at 5:45 p.m. this evening.

Fire officials are calling for additional fire resources to this fire, including aircraft.

Law Enforcement is urging people who are in the area to watch the fire to get out of the way of fire equipment and crews.
