Sonora Police, Sheriff Search For Escapee

Law enforcement in Sonora looking for an escapee this afternoon.

Sheriffs officials say work furlough inmate Michael Dean Jones walked away from the county garage near Sonora High School about 12:10 this afternoon.

He described as 35 years-old, 5-foot 6-inches tall, with brown hair and a tattoo on the right side of his neck. He was last seen wearing a green Tuolumne County Jail tee shirt, blue jeans in the area of High School Street.

Call the Tuolumne County Sheriff Department if you have seen this man.
