Angels DUI Checkpoint Nets One ArrestMonday, June 28, 2004 - 08:25 AM
The numbers from this weekend's DUI checkpoint conducted by the CHP and Angels Camp Police Department are promising.
674 vehicles were screened on Saturday. Only three drivers were given field sobriety tests, and only one of those three was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol.
Officials say with the July 4th holiday just around the corner, it's important to pay close attention to the road while driving, always wear your seat belt, slow down, and of course don't drive if you've been drinking.
