Calaveras Man Arrested For Sexual Abuse

A San Andreas man was arrested for charges related to lewd and lascivious acts with a minor.

The Calaveras County Sheriff's Department says a 15-year-old girl reported Thomas Hastings had been sexually abusing her since she was nine. The 57-year-old was taken into custody on a warrant Tuesday without incident.

Bail for Hastings has been set at $430,000 and investigators say if anyone has information about witnesses or possible additional witnesses, they should contact the Calaveras County Sheriff's Department.
