Minimum Wage Hike Considered

California's minimum wage would climb to seven-75 an hour under legislation approved Wednesday by the state Assembly.

Supporters say the increase will still leave roughly one million workers with poverty-level pay.

The bill went to the Senate by a 45-to-29 vote.
