New Sonora Lawman Gets Final Approval

Sonora has a new police chief.

MyMotherLode.com and AM 1450 KVML news have learned this morning the final approval of the new lawman to replace retiring chief Duane Ellis has been made by city officials. But who it is is not being made public yet.

Sonora City Administrator Greg Applegate says the name of the new police chief will be announced Tuesday morning following a final closed session at 9 a.m. by the city council.
