Accident Snarls Downtown Traffic

An accident on Washington Street near the Red Church in downtown Sonora caused a traffic snarl just before 4pm Thursday.

The Sonora Police Department says the only injured person refused treatment by medical personnel.

Officials say the accident had Washington Street blocked briefly, but traffic flow was back to normal in time for the evening drive-home period.

There's no word yet on the cause of the collision.
