Mountain Passes To Reopen

Looks like the Sonora Pass on Highway 108 and Ebbetts Pass on Highway 4 will soon be reopened.

Jamestown California Highway Patrol spokesman Tom Wills says with summer-like weather and no winter storms forecasted for the near future -- Caltrans crews are working to clear debris, make road repairs and move any remaining snow.

Wills says Ebbetts Pass will reopen Monday, May 3rd Sonora Pass will reopen Thursday, May 6th.

The two mountain routes are closed yearly during the winter following their annual winter closures.
