Brush Fire Burns Near Jamestown

Fire crews are battling a brush fire in the 16-thousand block of Peoria Flat Road, off Highway 108 and O'Byrnes Ferry Road, .

The fire is said to be in the power plant behind Baseline, and officials are saying the fire may have been sparked by an blown transformer.

A helicopter is among the responding units at this fire west of Jamestown.

Officials say the fire was first reported just after 11 a.m. this morning is burning in a hilly area in heavy brush.
