Two Drug Violators Arrested in Calaveras County

Sheriff's Deputies in Calaveras County made another sweep of parole violators over the weekend, and two Copperopolis men were separately arrested for drug violations.

On Friday, 33-year-old Shannon Patrick Casey was arrested after a probation search after officers found a large knife and drug paraphernalia.

Then on Saturday, 41-year-old Michael Keith Althouse was arrested for being under the influence of methamphetamine and was also found in possession of a large knife.

Both men were taken to Calaveras County Jail.

Officials say bail amounts in each case have not yet been determined.
