Columbia Celebrates 154th Anniversary with Cake, Song, GamesMonday, March 29, 2004 - 01:45 AM
It was a big weekend for the mining town of Columbia.
Amid newly constructed buildings at the corner of State Street and Main Street, folks young and old came to observe the community's 154th Columbia Day Celebration.
The party included a birthday cake, singing, horse-drawn carriages, and some gambling.
Not to worry, the gambling was for wooden nickels.
It all happened at high noon Saturday in Columbia.
