Crews Busy With Small Fires

Another debris burn pile gets out of control, this time in the Murphys area.

Calaveras County fire crews mopping up about 1/4 acre of grass that burnt in the French Gulch Road area in the vicinity of the Black Sheep vineyards off Murphys Grade Road in Murphys around 1:30 yesterday afternoon .

Then around 3 o'clock on the west side of Turlock Reservoir, CDF crews responded to 2 small grass fires that burnt about 1 acre.

Again fire official warn to use care when burning piles of leaves and yard debris on permissive burn days.
