This morning's storm has knocked out power to thousands of Pacific Gas and Electric customers.
PG & E says an estimated 75,000 customers are without power in scattered areas from the Oregon border through the Bay Area and into Sacramento. Parts of the North Bay have been especially hard hit, where an estimated 13,000 customers are without power in Marin County. The National Weather Service has just issued a high wind advisory for areas of the San Joaquin Valley through this afternoon.
Strong southeast winds of 25 to 40 mph will deveolp this morning has the storm moves in to the region.
The winds will continue for much of the day, creating hazardous driving conditions for high profile vehicles. Mother Lode residents should secure any loose objects around homes and businesses that can become airborne and cause injury and damage.
