Some Peterson Case Details Made PublicTuesday, February 24, 2004 - 10:35 AM
More details of the prosecution's case against Scott Peterson are becoming public.
In their first detailed description of the case, prosecutors charged in court filings that Peterson's affair with a massage therapist drove him to murder his pregnant wife. Prosecutors also made other potentially damaging allegations. They say that Peterson had more than one affair, converted his unborn son's nursery into a storage room and lied about his pregnant wife continuing to walk the dog into her third trimester.
This morning, defense attorney Mark Geragos reacted to the claims by calling prosecutors contentions "scurrilous." He also called the accusations "out-and-out falsehoods."
The judge in the case told both sides today that they could not file anything without his reviewing it first.
