Fatal Weekend In Mother Lode RegionMonday, February 23, 2004 - 08:25 AM
Wet weather is being blamed for the deaths of four people killed in separate traffic accidents in the north San Joaquin Valley and Mother Lode region over the weekend.
Saturday evening a 31 year-old Jamestown man died on Campo Seco at Golden Oaks Drive in Tuolumne County. CHP is saying that the man was rounding the curve there at a high rate of speed and lost control of his 2003 Toyota pickup truck. That was at 9:50 Saturday night Investigators say the truck flipped . The roof was peeled back when it hit a rock. The driver died at the scene. His name was being withheld until relatives are notified
A Hayward man died on Highway 132 early Saturday. Two others were killed in the Turlock area Sunday morning.
