Support our Troops- A Sonora Memorial Day Weekend Tribute

May 23rd, 8am to 2pm

At the Courthouse Park in downtown Sonora, across from the Veterans Memorial Hall and Military Museum. Come and sign an "Honor Roll" to be sent to our troops in Iraq. Come and show support for our Troops and Veterans.


Sonora Master Chorale "Sacred Music Concert"

Sonora Master Chorale will be performing the Faure' Requiem and an original work by Adrian Wise, a local musician and composer at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

Chuck Hovey, known for his excellent wines, will be presenting wines from new wineries where he is the consulting winemaker. This is an opportunity to try these wines and find out about what is new in the foothills.

Day in the Park

May 17th, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Standard Park Sports Complex Hosted by the Tuolumne County Recreation Department. The Recreation Department will be registering for all

their summer recreation opportunities during this event.

There will also be face painting, crafts, entertainment, and information booths from local clubs and organizations.


5th Annual Happy Paws Dog Walk in Tuolumne

May 17th 8:00am

Therapy Dogs of the Sierra will sponsor the Fifth Annual Happy Paws Dog Walk & Festival on Saturday, May 17th in Tuolumne City.

Proceeds from the walk will benefit three local animal rescue groups. Admission to the festival is free. Activities include games, contests, raffles and vendors.

Registration includes a T-shirt (while supplies last) and goodie bag. Registration before May 5th is recommended, the fee is $20 for one dog and the walk starts at 8:30 AM. Contact Sherry Galka at 532-9217 or sherry@motherlodek9.com
